Developed
in Australia by Tom Bowen in the 1950s, Bowen Therapy
(or Bowen Technique) is a gentle, remedial therapy that
stimulates the body to re-balance itself, promoting
healing, pain relief and the recovery of energy.
The therapist makes a series of very delicate, precisely
placed moves with fingers and thumbs which roll over
the soft tissue and stimulate the nervous system.
A unique feature of Bowen is the intervals of rest between
moves which allow the brain to assimilate the nerve
messages and begin the process of healing.
Put simply, Bowen Therapy makes people feel better.
Whether they are infants, elderly, disabled or very
fit, this amazing healing technique re-balances the
body to function more efficiently, facilitating healing
and well-being in body and mind. |
